I’ve always believed that our names carry deep meaning, shaping our identity and connection to our roots.

Yet, for many Africans, the names we carry are often remnants of colonial or religious influences rather than reflections of our true heritage. That’s why I started exploring the beauty and power of African names—names that tell our stories, honor our ancestors, and reaffirm our identity.

Growing up, I saw how many of us were given Western names, often because they were considered “easier” or “more acceptable.” But what if we reclaimed our birthright? What if we proudly embraced names that reflect who we truly are?

I’ve been on a journey to challenge these norms and spark conversations about the importance of African identity.

Our names are more than just words. They carry history, culture, and meaning. They connect us to our ancestors, our traditions, and our land.

When we introduce ourselves with names rooted in our heritage, we make a statement: we are proud of who we are, and we refuse to let our identity be erased.

Beyond names, I believe in the power of self-belief. My philosophy—Natural Belief by Rubasha—is centered on the idea that our minds are divine, capable of creating our reality.

When we tap into our inner power, we can shape our lives with intention and purpose. Everything starts from within. What we imagine, believe, and affirm becomes our truth.

This belief also extends to empowering our communities. I talk about real issues that matter—women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, and the broader fight for freedom and equality in Africa.

It’s time we take control of our narratives, support each other, and build a future where everyone is free to be their authentic self.

Through my YouTube channel, I create content that challenges conventional thinking and encourages people to explore their own power.

I share insights on African identity, spirituality, self-belief, and more. If these ideas resonate with you, I’d love for you to join me on this journey.
